Engineering

Engineering has been often stereotyped as a man behind a machine. However this is now changing and students at Dinnington High School are part of this change.

Within our engineering workshop we are able to bring this subject to life and provide our students with hands-on opportunity to learn in a practical environment. Our students are taught how the study of engineering has the power to make a difference and our pool of talented engineering teachers make sure our students draft, test and implement their ideas with precision. Over time our students will be introduced to various people working in the world of engineering; providing them with really experience and expertise.

Furthermore we work alongside many women in engineering to breakdown stereotypes and support an inclusive approach to this subject area. While many of the skills that our students develop are transferable and give them a wide range of opportunities in the world outside the classroom, they also develop a passion and enjoyment for learning.
