Business at Dinnington High School is designed to inspire and enthuse students to develop their knowledge and skills of the business world. Studying business increases awareness of real life businesses, by looking at practices within marketing, finance, operations and human resources, plan and manage projects and work effectively with others.
Students develop skills that they would need in any workplace or as part of a business and interpersonal skills which increase your ability to communicate with others. At Dinnington High School our business students examine how businesses interview and recruit people, develop small business plans, how they use marketing techniques and external influences and pressures. The business world is a global one and the study of business makes this apparent and demonstrates the opportunities that globalisation brings. Staff at Dinnington High School bring the curriculum to life and give students the type of vocational experience to provide a superb foundation for their futures.
Our business students have gone on to travel far and wide and many students have taken the opportunity to study aboard and gone on to become successful in the global world of business.
