Dinnington High School is celebrating another strong set of GCSE results with students achieving the strongest Attainment 8 score in the school’s history.
The academy achieved an Attainment 8 score of 46.6, the highest in the school’s history and another huge step forwards from 2025 with almost half a grade improvement across all subject areas.
Performance in English and Mathematics also reached record levels at 4+ and 7+, with 65.1% of students achieving Grade 4 or above in both subjects, improving from 57.8% in 2025 and 14.2% of students achieved Grade 7 or above in English and Maths, more than double the 2025 outcome of 6.3%.
English results were incredibly impressive, with major gains at 4+ (7%), 5+ (13%) and 7+ (8%), alongside a record number of grade 9s. Science also made huge improvements at 4+ and 5+ with a huge 12% improvement in grade 4+ and 10% at grade 5+.
Dinnington’s open basket performance remained a significant strength and contributed heavily to the school’s overall attainment success and performance is significantly above national benchmarks, demonstrating strong achievement across a broad curriculum.
